Watch Tom Hamilton Perform With Marco Benevento & The Snarky Puppy Horns At Luna Light Festival

first_imgLast weekend marked the return of the annual Luna Light Music & Arts Festival, bringing together an elite lineup of talents for a true festival for live music fans. One of the themes of the event were top notch collaborations and jam sessions, including one with Medeski, Martin, Russo & Benevento that you can watch here. Another occurred during a performance from Tom Hamilton’s American Babies, which saw the band welcome three different keyboardists at various points and the full horn section of Snarky Puppy.Hamilton first welcomed out Holly Bowling, who sat in on an opening run that included “Synth Driver,” “This Thing Ain’t Goin Nowheres” and the Grateful Dead’s “Cumberland Blues.” The Disco Biscuits’ own Aron Magner followed suit, joining in for the “Cumberland Blues” and staying on for “An Epic Battle Between Light And Dark.” Magner would remain on stage, while the band brought back Holly Bowling and also introduced Hamilton’s JRAD bandmate Marco Benevento for a rousing rendition of “At The Show.”At that point, Bowling left the stage, but the band wasn’t done with their guest stars! The Snarky Puppy horns were then introduced, and they accompanied American Babies (with Benevento and Magner) on a rendition of “Old Time Religion.” Finally, the set closed with the Puppy horns and Marco Benevento joining Tom Hamilton’s American Babies for one remarkable rendition of “Fever Dreams.”You can watch this all-star set-closing jam session below, thanks to American Babies!Do not miss Tom Hamilton’s American Babies on tour, especially for their exciting Masquerade Balls stopping in major cities across the country.
