Turbo Suit, Formerly Known As Cosby Sweater, Calls It Quits

first_imgAfter four years of touring the country, playing a ton of festivals, and supporting some of the biggest acts in the jam/livetronica scene, Turbo Suit (formerly known as Cosby Sweater) is calling it quits. The Indianapolis, IN-based trio, made up David Embry (guitar/vocals/live mixing), Nicholas Gerlach (sax/EWI/keys) and Jeff Peterson (drums), with the “sensual sax melodies and ultra-accessible beats” has decided to part ways. They have announced their appearance at Electric Forest will be the group’s final performance. We wish each member the best of luck in their future endeavors.  Here is a statement the band released via their Facebook page:Over the last 4 years, we have had the opportunity to do some amazing things. We started this project with no intentions of ever going as far as we did with our little group. We’ve played countless festivals, venues that we could only dream of playing, and have opened for bands that we’ve looked up to for years. We made lots of friends and fans over the years and are so grateful for all the opportunities that we were given to make you forget about this crazy world we live in, even if for just an hour or two.Without going on and on and dragging this whole thing out, we would like to announce that next week at Electric Forest will be our last show. So please, let us not be sad that this is ending, but celebrate that it even happened in the first place. Thank you guys so much for letting us do what we do. We love you.Turbo Suit – Asheville Music Hall – 2/6/16, courtesy of I Am Asheville:last_img
